Word Babble: 5 Tips On How To Live Life After A Drastic Change

March 29, 2015

Everyone has their ups and downs where in you thought that you'll never recover from. That moment in your life where in nothing and no one will make you feel better about life. Cliche as it may seem... these things will pass. These are some ways on how you'll stand up from that temporary slump you're in and enjoy what's in store for you in the future.

1. The only permanent thing in this world is change.

Routines for me are an assurance that things are definite. I feel like when I have a cycle that I follow everyday, nothing could possibly go wrong. Its just recently that life made me realize that no matter how I feel like I have everything figured out... I really don't. Sucks right? When my whole routine changed, I didn't know how to puzzle everything back together. I was overwhelmed. But as time went by, I realized that life would be boring if it isn't for the plot twists. Change is always good. The sooner we realize that, the better.

2.Repeat these words; "This too shall pass."

Sometimes, when you feel like the world has ganged up on you, you instantly think that the feeling you are feeling won't pass. I understand that. We sometimes get caught up in the moment and feel like nothing can ever be worse. But get this... It will pass. Good things will come to you if you have a better and positive perspective on things.

3. Accept the things you can't change.

You want to wallow about the unfortunate fortunate situation in your life for a week? Fine, okay. But for a month? NO. You have to accept that what has happened cannot be altered. That no matter how much you wish that situation has never happened to you, well it did. There is nothing to do but accept and move on.

4. Challenge yourself to be the best version of you.

The best remedy to any kind of set back is a challenge. A mind set where in everyday starting from today is solely dedicated to improving yourself. I know that sometimes you'd rather bargain with life and say "Please make this situation better and I promise that I will be a better person." Why would you wait for that moment? Why not start now? Try something new and improve on your talents. Never give up on you.

5. Forgive even if you can't forget.

I know its easier said than done but if there is one thing that I have learned, forgiveness is the first thing that a person has to accomplish before going any further to the path of happiness. Whether its forgiving yourself or another person whom may have hurt you, letting things go doesn't necessarily mean that you have to forget what has happened but to forgive despite you having to live with the circumstances.
