Baby Smooth Skin with Althea Korea Born This Way Box

October 21, 2017

When I was younger, I didn't have to worry about my skin thinking that my smooth skin will last me a lifetime. I didn't have a "skincare routine" since I thought that this is genetics working on my healthy looking skin so might as well scrap that part.

It was after college when I learned to do my make up, I noticed that my skin started to break out on some parts of my face. I was a bit terrified because I didn't want huge blemishes on my face so that's when I started to have a "mini-skincare-routine" for myself. Why am talking about this? Its because I've recently discovered a especially curated beauty box I wish I had when I was younger and its the Althea Korea's Born This Way Box. <3

What's in this box?

Innisfree - Green Tea Cleansing Foam
Beunis- Nutrient Emulsion Skin
3CE- Back to Baby Velvet Pore Primer
Max Clinic- Catrin Natural 100 Mineral Sunkill RX
Aritaum- Mono Eyeshadow
Etude House- Dear Darling Ice Cream Water Gel Tint (Watermelon Red)
Pure Smile- Art Point Pack
Dr. Mind- Apot Red Mask

Let's walk about them one by one shall we?

Green Tea Cleansing Foam
Innisfree
This green tea cleansing foam has been one of my favorites so far. Not only does it fully cleanse my skin, it also rich in anti-oxidants (because of the green tea) that prevents it from aging. I've been using this for weeks now, every morning before I got to work and at night after I remove my make up. I noticed that the small blemishes on my skin lightened and it also kept my face soft, smooth and hydrated.
Catrin Natural 100 Mineral Sunkill RX
Max Clinic

Okay, I'm going to be honest... I'm not a big fan of mineral powder so I tried this product to conceal and bake the black bags under my eyes and that's where it worked best! My eyebags were unnoticeable and it definitely kept my eye area looking fresh. This powder blended well with the current face powder I'm using despite it being in a lighter shade. It gave my face such a natural glow.  And oh did you know? It also has SPF 46  PA++ that is perfect for our tropical weather too!

Dear Darling Ice Cream Water Gel Tint
Etude House
Aside from the obvious fact that this has been the cutest lip and cheek tint I've ever seen in my life, it gave my lips and cheeks a natural redness to it which I really love. This watermelon smelling product gave me a natural look with such less effort. It is so pigmented and long wearing that I only have to re-apply once in a whole day. What's not to love?

Nutrient Emulsion Skin
Beunis

I have always been a skeptic when it comes to moisturizers because most of the ones that I've tried before are either sticky or difficult to blend on make up that's why I was not a big fan until I tried this product. It was first a bit overwhelming for me since it's packaged in a big heavy bottle but then I must say that I'm trying to get used to it. I use 1 to 2 pumps on my face a day and it kept my face hydrated and moisturized all day, it was not at all sticky and it works even when I wear it under my make up. Some say it should be used twice a day, but we'll see. It works perfectly for me right now and I's like to keep it once a day for now. Hehe
Mono Eyeshadow
Aritaum
This "Coral Squeeze" eyeshadow shade gave my eyes a monochromatic and fresh look. It is also travel sized making it easy for me to include it as a part of my everyday make up routine. A good tip for this product would be that it works best when blended with a brown shade if you want to go for a bolder shade since it not as pigmented as you would want it to be.

Art Point Pack and Apot Red Mask
Pure Smile and Dr. Mind

The Art Point Pack is a refreshing take on masks since it has fun shaped patches to hydrate the specific areas of your face that needs more TLC. It used some on the on my chin area as well as under my eye area and it indeed served its purpose in a fun way. While the Apot Red Mask is the one last product I am yet to try since it's claims to work best for treating irritated and stressed skin and I'd like to believe that my face hasn't reached that point yet so we'll see. Hehe

Back to Baby Velvet Pore Primer
3CE
For the longest time, Elizavecca's Skin Liar Primer has been my go-to-primer. I have not tried anything else until 3EC's primer was introduced to me in this Althea Box. It mattified my face making it the perfect canvass for make up, It's powder-y scent made it no problem for me to apply all over my face. <3 My only issue was that the product size is too small for me. I wish they also sold it in a bigger size so that I'll be able to maximize my use.
