As the years went by, different products have been available for us to achieve that holy grail-overall-skin care routine depending on each person's preference. There was a trend where everyone was into oil based makeup removers claiming that it effectively removed dirt and makeup without the harsh chemicals. After sometime, micellar water was most preferred by people because they said the product is made up of only dirt-loving-molecules that easily washed off makeup.
What if I tell you that Althea's Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser - one of the newest products from the Althea Exclusives line is able provide you with a little bit of both? Let me introduce to you the combined powers of a cleanser and a serum.

My Thoughts:
- I know that most us have biases when we hear "serum cleansers" since we immediately think of the thick consistency that comes with the product but this one changed the game for me. It had a supple consistency that's just the right mix of water and oil making it a bit light on the face.
- One of its main ingredients are mint tea leave extracts that cools down the skin and prevents it from having any skin irritations.
- I have an acidic skin type that's why I was so happy when I learned that this product also helps balance the pH levels of the skin making sure that my skin is functioning at its best, preventing dry skin and sudden moisture loss.
- Aside from it being a tough makeup remover, I was able to use it as my dose of moisture serum. This product makes sure that my face is smooth and tight with minimized pores.
- The only issue I had with the product is there will always be a thought in my head that it will take sometime before I get all of the serum off of my face because it has oil in it. I don't know, maybe that's just me! (Good thing the Althea Contour Cleanser has done wonders for me since it cleanses my whole face. lol)
Steps on how I use it as a cleanser:
Step 1: Get an adequate amount of product on a cotton pad.
Step 2: Massage the product all over your face in an upward circular motion to remove all the dirt and makeup.
Step 3: Rinse off the residue with your preferred facial wash.
Steps on how I use it as a serum:
Step 1: After you've applied your toner, get an adequate amount of product onto the palm of your hand.
Step 2: Gently massage the product all over your face in an upward circular motion and let it sit on your face for 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 3: Once the serum has been absorbed by your skin, get a tissue or an oil blotting paper and wipe of the excess serum off of your face.
Here's a photo of me after a month of using this product and I have to tell you that it has done a lot of wonders to me skin especially my pores. I didn't have to cover my pores with so much makeup since they have been minimized by this serum cleanser. <3
Will I but it again?
Yes! It such a steal because you get a 150 ml bottle of product that acts as a cleanser and a serum in one. :)
